OLM Group secures a controlling stake in Hytec

OLM Group, the UK's largest independent supplier of information solutions for children's and adult care services, has invested in Hytec Information Security Ltd to procure a controlling stake.  Through providing access to a broader and more enhanced level of resources, this collaboration aims to provide further support to enhance Hytec’s sales and marketing capabilities and OLM’s ability to meet customer needs in the area of information security and infrastructure management. 

As a supplier of IT infrastructures to support secure connectivity and information sharing to local government, health authorities and commercial organisations, Hytec will continue to operate as an independent advisor and service provider. 

This investment helps strengthen Hytec’s established track record in innovation and provides support going forward, as Peter O'Hara, CEO of OLM Group, comments:  “With its excellent reputation and thought leadership in information security, Hytec is a company I have admired for a long time.  OLM Group is excited by this opportunity to invest in the growth of Hytec, particularly at a time when the issues of information security are the forefront of the public sector IT agenda, and more specifically, information sharing in children’s and adults services.”
