Accommodation |
| Accommodation may be
booked through the Harrogate
Accommodation Bureau. It is strongly recommended that
accommodation is arranged as soon as possible since hotels become
fully booked quickly. |

Badges |
| For security reasons,
badges must be worn at all times during the opening hours of the
event. Badge-wearers may enter the exhibition through the conference
centre or the entrance at Hall A. Exhibitors and contractors
should refer to the exhibitor manual regarding their badges — see
the exhibitor zone
for more information. |

Business Centre |
| The Business Centre is
designed to allow busy visitors and delegates time to make their
visit as productive as possible. The Centre provides: free
photocopying, fax, wordprocessing, email and Internet-access
facilities, together with secretarial assistance. There is also a
pay phone.
The Centre will be located in one of the exhibition halls. Please
check closer to the event for details.

Canvassing |
| Canvassing for orders or
for any other purpose by unauthorised persons is strictly prohibited
and in any such case the right of expulsion will at once be
exercised by the organisers. The distribution or display of printed
or other placards, handbills, circulars or other articles — except
by exhibitors from their own stands — is prohibited. Fines may be
levied. |
| Car
parking |
| There are several public
car parks close to the venue, the nearest being the Oxford Street
car park, which has parking for 750 cars. There is also limited
parking located beneath the International Conference Centre.

| There are a number of
public catering points and bars throughout the exhibition halls,
serving a variety of food and drinks. They will be open throughout
the exhibition opening hours. Please refer to the
exhibition hall floor plans. |

Cloakrooms/ coats |
| Cloakrooms are located:
near the entrance to Hall A; and in the International Conference
Centre foyer, to the right of the registration desks. Coats and
luggage/bags may be left at a cost of £1 per coat and £1 per bag.
However, it should be noted that space for bags is limited. |
|

Conference registration onsite |
The conference
registration desks are situated in the foyer of the
International Conference Centre. To avoid
unnecessary queuing, it is advisable to go directly to the correct
registration desk, as indicated below:
- Delegates who have not registered in advance should
register at the Conference information and onsite registration desk,
having first completed their delegate registration form. Cheques
should be made payable to BCS HC Conference (please note that
only sterling currency can be accepted).
- Pre-registered delegates should go to the desks headed
Preregistered delegates to collect their badges and delegate
packs.
- All international delegates and speakers should first go
to the desk marked Speakers and overseas delegates.
The HC2007 conference registration desks are open during the
following times:
- Sunday 18 March: 18.00–19.30
- Monday 19 March: 08.30–17.30
- Tuesday 20 March: 08.30–17.30
- Wednesday 21 March: 08.30–15.00

Courtesy coach |
A courtesy coach will
shuttle between Harrogate railway station and the HC venue during
the event's open days, stopping at the entrances to the Conference
Centre and Exhibition Hall A.
- The shuttle commences a half-hourly service from Harrogate
railway station from 08.15 arriving at the Conference Centre at a
quarter to and a quarter past the hour; and at Hall A at ten to and
twenty past the hour.
- The last service on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 March leaves the
Conference Centre at 18.15 and Hall A at 18.20 to arrive at the
station by 18.30.
- On Wednesday 21 March the last service leaves the Conference
Centre at 17.15 and Hall A at 17.20.

Disabled visitors |
| Access to some of the
halls may be difficult for visitors in wheelchairs or for those who
are less physically able. In order to make your visit as easy as
possible, we suggest that you contact a member of the organiser's
staff or security personnel upon arrival so that assistance can be
arranged when needed. There are allocated parking bays in the
Conference Centre car park. These spaces are free of charge.

Exhibition registration |
There are exhibition
visitor entrances at Hall A and in the Conference Centre (see
the plan of the venue).
- Visitors wishing to register onsite should fill in a
registration ticket located at either of the entrance points. A
badge will be produced which must be worn clearly at all times
during the exhibition.
- Visitors who have preregistered and have their badge
cards with them can access the exhibition halls using the fast-track
entry points located at all registration entrances.
- Conference delegates are automatically registered as
exhibition visitors, and may enter the exhibition through any of the
entrances (only when wearing their delegate badges).
- Registration times are the same as the
exhibition opening times.

Exhibition sales office |

| Any onsite enquiries
regarding booking exhibition stand space for HC2008 should be
directed to the HC2008 Exhibition Sales Office, located in the
Exhibitor zone in Hall B. |
| First
aid |
| A first-aid room is
located at the entrance to hall A, adjacent to the organiser's
offices. First aid is also available in the International Conference
Centre, on request, from the circular administration desk in the
main foyer. |
|
Information points |
| Information points will be
located at the entrance to Hall A, between Halls A&B, in the
Conference Centre and the foyer of the Queen's suite. |
|
Internet access |
| Internet access will be
available in the Business Centre, which is in
Hall A, between stands A15 and A17. |
|
|
| In the interests of safety
please do not leave bags or coats unattended at any time during the
conference and exhibition.
Any lost property found should be handed in at the organiser's
office at the front of Hall A, or at the Harrogate International
Conference Centre's reception/control desk.
All lost property handed in at the International Centre desk is
then logged and stored at the 24-hour Stage Door Security Office. |

Visitors and delegates
may leave messages:
- outside the exhibition organiser's office in Hall A; and
- by the Conference sales and proceedings booth within the
International Conference Centre foyer.

card and cash phones located within the exhibition halls. Pay
telephones are also available in the Business Centre and in the

including those for the disabled, at the linkways between Halls A–B
and B–C. There are also toilets between Hall D and the Queen's
Suite, and off the Conference Centre foyer. |
